If you’re new to Cities Skylines and finding it challenging to create a thriving city, I’m here to assist you! In this ongoing series, I’ll guide you through the process of building a successful city, beginning with the foundations of a small town and gradually expanding it into a bustling megalopolis. Throughout our journey, we’ll delve into the game’s mechanics, and I’ll share valuable tips and strategies I’ve acquired from my extensive experience with the game. Drawing from my real-life expertise as a city planner, I’ll also demonstrate how I design cities.
This series will also serve as a platform for exploring new DLCs and Content Creator Packs as they are released for the game.
In today’s video, we’ll cover a variety of topics, such as how to initiate a city, creating a basic grid layout, managing utilities, establishing outside connections, zoning regulations, progression milestones, navigating the development tree, enhancing city happiness, managing the city’s economy, rezoning, and expanding the city. We’ll transform our humble town into a thriving community with a population of 1,000, while providing all the essential services to support a city of that size.
